How to Get My Friends Involved: The “2 FOR 1 CAMPAIGN”

The Founding Team has done tremendous work over the last 2 years. However, they can not accomplish everything that needs to be done. By the time we open, we need to have 800-1000 owner-member households.

This is where YOU come in. We are asking and encouraging and challenging every new individual or household that joins the coop to participate in our “2 FOR 1 CAMPAIGN.”

The concept is simple: Every member tries to bring on 2 new members. If even half of our membership rises to the challenge, the membership itself will sustain the growth needed to open a store by mid 2009.

When new members join, we call them within a week or two to welcome them and to tell them about the “2 for 1 Campaign.” We solicit their participation, now that they are owners and have a stake in the successful launching of this downtown business venture. It’s very exciting to see how many people actively jump in and accept 2 packets to give out to friends, families and work colleagues. Some people even request 5 or 8 packets!
